I'm not really sure what to say, and I'm not really sure if that's a serious ad or if it's meant to be funny.
ReplyDeleteIf you check out www.redhousefurniture.com it certainly appears to be a legitimate furniture store.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the ad never made it on TV, but it has over a million hits on youtube, so who really needs TV nowadays anyway.
IMHO, it's both serious and funny. Serious in that a sofa has no idea who is sitting on it nor who is buying it. Also serious because they are saying out loud that race doesn't matter.
What I found funny was the pace of their speach, their accents, the music and the people were just goofy. Plus talking about an uncomfortable subject sooo openly was somewhat shocking and a common way to deal with stress like that is to laugh.
Just curious. Did anyone see anything offensive in there? I didn't.
Bottom line: Brilliant marketing.
