I like seeing business thrive and grow.

For those that don't like this particular type of business and call it names: There are rules and procedures for ordinance violations and license infractions. So if this or ANY business falls below set standards, then and only then would you have a point.

Until that happens, let's support business in our community.

But I could be wrong. I often am.

  1. Rich, there was some concern here in my neck of the woods when an individual who had an established tattoo parlor in another part of the state wanted to move his business to South Milwaukee, but ultimately the Common Council voted to approve the tattoo parlor, and it's been nice to see a business that had long been vacant occupied and adding something to the community.

A strip club might not be everyone's ideal business, but like you said, if it becomes a nuisance, it'll be dealt with in short order.

  2. Rid society of tattoo parlors and strip clubs, etc... and where will that element go? Disappear? Um no. They'd just be driven underground.

Is that where we really want that? Behind closed doors? On Craig's list? with No safety? No regulation?

Aren't we all safer with these businesses being in the proverbial "light of day" monitored regulated and controlled? Um yeah.

But I could be wrong. I often am.
